Ohio State could be without starting wide receivers Brandon Inniss and Devin McCuin for its homecoming game against Maryland on Oct. 10.
Both were listed as questionable on the Buckeyes’ initial availability report provided to the Big Ten and that was made public three days ahead of kickoff. The report does not specify the nature of any injuries.
McCuin and Inniss have been Ohio State’s leading receivers behind Jeremiah Smith through five games. McCuin has caught 17 passes for 245 yards and two touchdowns, while Inniss has 10 receptions for 147 yards and one touchdown.
If they’re ultimately unavailable or even limited, it could result in larger roles for freshmen Brock Boyd and Chris Henry Jr. Coach Ryan Day said LSU transfer wide receiver Kyle
Parker is also expected to make his season debut this week.
Starting right tackle Phillip Daniels, who has missed three consecutive games with an unspecified injury, remains questionable, and defensive end Khary Wilder was also questionable.
Wilder did not make an appearance in last week’s win at Iowa, but has flashed his potential as a freshman in various pass-rush packages.
The Buckeyes are expected to have starting nickel back Jay Timmons available as he was left off the report.
Timmons did not play at Iowa after he was listed as a game-time decision. He has been sidelined by an unspecified injury since he left during the third quarter of the Buckeyes’ win over Illinois on Sept. 26.
Safety Leroy Roker III will be a notable absence against the Terrapins this week as he was listed as out.
