Water damage from recent heavy rainfall is causing the closure of the Franklin County Domestic Relations and Juvenile Court on Monday, Aug. 17.
Heavy rain damaged the floors that the courts use, a public information officer announced in a press release. Employees had started addressing the damage Aug. 16 and making some repairs, but the court cannot operate as normal Aug. 17.
The court is within the Franklin County Government Center at 375 S. High St. in downtown Columbus.
Regular business hours are expected to resume Aug. 18, according to the press release.
Severe thunderstorms have dumped several inches of rain and caused localized damage throughout central Ohio since the week of Aug. 10.
