Moreno the embarrassment
I just read Bernie Moreno’s comments directed at Dr. Anthony Fauci during a Senate hearing. Descriptive words such as statesman, dignified and classy did not come to mind.
The citizens of Ohio should be totally ashamed of this clown’s performance! I suspect dignified Ohio senators such as Howard Metzenbaum, William Saxbe, John Glenn and George Voinovich are rolling over in their graves.

You can't buy my vote
Campaign commercials are everywhere. Dr. Amy Acton and Vivek Ramaswamy are spending a great deal of money to buy my vote. I would rather see them earn it the old-fashioned way: by solving a real problem facing thousands of Ohio families.
I am one of many
cancer patients who depend on the James Cancer Hospital for life-sustaining care. For years, my Humana Medicare Advantage insurance plan covered my treatment. Now, because Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center and Humanaare locked in a contract dispute, the James will be out-of-network, leaving patients like me to wonder what is next.
I challenge both candidates to step forward and solve the Humana and James dispute.
Acton can draw upon her medical expertise and understanding of the health care system, and Ramaswamy can put his business and negotiation skills to work. Together, they could help encourage a solution that protects Ohio patients like me.
I also challenge The Columbus Dispatch to do what it does best: shine a light on an important local issue. The Dispatch can investigate the dispute, ask the hard questions and bring the parties together. This is a pressing, timely, local and potentially life-saving issue that deserves public attention.
Don't just ask for my vote. Earn it by helping Ohio patients keep the doctors and hospital they trust.
