Entering what is expected to be his final year with Ohio State, Smith is chasing greatness. He is 341 yards, 43 catches and nine touchdowns away from breaking the all-time team receiving records

. During the offseason, Smith focused on personal growth in the weight room, emphasizing a recovery routine after straining a quad in the 2025 season.

Though a leader in performance, Smith also strives to be a vocal leader of the Buckeyes. He was named one of seven captains ahead of the 2026 season.
