The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center high school Athlete of the Week voting occurs each week during high school sports competition and recognizes athletes across all sports.

Athletes are on this week's ballot based on information made available to The Dispatch and nominations.
Once athletes win during the regular season, they're not eligible to be back on the ballot until the postseason. If athletes haven't won in the regular season, they can be nominated more than once.
The Dispatch staff reserves the right to remove ballots or athletes from the ballot where voting irregularities have occurred.

Here are this week's Boys Athlete of the Week candidates:
Carter Chupka, Newark Catholic football: Returned interceptions 40 and 16 yards for touchdowns in a 28-21 loss to Mount Vernon.
Kyson Cline, Bloom-Carroll football: Ran for 246 yards and two touchdowns on 37 carries in a 30-13 win at Fairfield Union.
Ty'Quan Crawford, Licking Heights football: Caught a 21-yard touchdown pass and made the clinching interception in a 26-21 win over Northridge.
Landon Dawson, Mount Vernon football: Scored four touchdowns in a 28-21 win over Newark Catholic. He caught seven passes for 154 yards and two touchdowns and ran for 84 yards and two scores on five carries.
Noah Dumas, Pickerington North football: Caught four passes for 150 yards and two touchdowns in a 51-7 win over Olentangy Orange.
Cam Huebner, Westerville Central football: Had eight receptions for 211 yards and a touchdown in a 16-10 win at Dublin Jerome.
Drew Hughes, Jonathan Alder football: Completed 21 of 27 passes for 325 yards and four touchdowns in a 35-0 win at Springfield Shawnee.
Blaike Jackson, Grove City football: Amassed 436 yards and four touchdowns on 44 carries and added a fifth touchdown on special teams, finishing the night with 534 total yards in a 42-35 win over Dublin Coffman. According to Ohio High School Athletic Association records, Jackson’s performance is sixth best in a single game all-time for central Ohio running backs.
Drake Gokenbach, Northridge soccer: Tied a school record with six goals in a 10-1 win over Heath.
Chris Mosher, Danville football: Totaled 25 tackles in a 43-13 win over Fredericktown
Kolton Peterson, Newark football: Became the all-time leading rusher for the Wildcats , amassing 203 yards and four touchdowns on 18 carries in a 59-33 win over Logan. Peterson has 2,425 career yards.
Tramaine Petty, South football: Ran for 158 yards and a touchdown on 12 carries in a 35-8 win over Independence.
Brody Rodgers, Licking Valley football: Ran for two touchdowns and threw for another in a 28-13 win over Johnstown.
Ryan Sager, Johnstown football: Ran for 172 yards and two touchdowns on 28 carries in a 28-13 loss to Licking Valley.
Kaidan Schmelmer, Olentangy Liberty football: Had six receptions for 87 yards and one tackle in a 17-14 win over Olentangy.
Graham Smith, Watkins Memorial football: Ran for 256 yards and a touchdown on 32 carries in a 17-10 win over Heath.
Jackson Szabo, Worthington Kilbourne football: Accounted for 633 yards of offense – 424 passing with two touchdowns and 209 rushing with four scores – in a 49-20 win over Dublin Scioto.
Tyler Walls, Madison Plains football: Ran for 93 yards and two touchdowns on 15 carries and completed 9 of 14 passes for 160 yards and three touchdowns in a 48-7 win over Northeastern.
