Ohio State has risen in the latest US LBM Coaches Poll.
The Buckeyes snapped defending national champion Indiana’s 22-game winning streak in a top-five matchup on Oct. 17, and other unbeatens fellas well over a matter of hours, paving the way to OSU's jump.
Georgia and Notre Dame, which were both off to 6-0 starts and the consensus No. 1 and No. 2 teams a week ago, suffered their first losses. Auburn upset the Bulldogs in Athens, while BYU topped the Irish in one of the more high-profile games.
Since a loss at Texas in early September, the Buckeyes had not been ranked higher than No. 5 in either the AP Top 25 or US LBM Coaches Poll.
The Buckeyes began the season as the preseason No. 1, bolstered by the presence of star wide receiver Jeremiah Smith,
as well as quarterback Julian Sayin.
Here’s where the Buckeyes landed in the latest polls following their 19-15 win at Indiana.
