Six hundred people in Columbus are going to win one shell of a prize the morning of Aug. 15.
Condado Tacos will give away a year of free tacos – one each week for 52 weeks – to the first 100 people in line at six of its local restaurants when they open for the day.
No reason. It's not an anniversary or grand opening or other special occasion. The chain that started in Columbus but now has 52 restaurants in 10 states is offering "a heartfelt thank-you to the hometown fans who helped build the brand."
Here are the details:
- The giveaway is at all Columbus Condado locations except the one at ScottsMiracle-Gro Field. That means Columbus Commons, the Short North, Clintonville, Easton Town Center, Polaris and Dublin.
- Each restaurant opens at 11 a.m. on Aug. 15, so you should plan to be in line before that time.
- The prizes will be delivered through the Condado app.
The giveaway is only being done in Columbus.
