The latest – and, according to its founder, the greatest – Mikey's Late Night Slice has set an Aug. 28 opening in Polaris.
The Columbus pizza chain's third new location this year
and its 12th overall is at 2136 Ikea Way on Columbus' Far North Side. It will include a full bar with slushies and alcohol-spiked Lushies, pizza by the slice and by the pie, and Mikey's full complement of sauces at its Saucy Bar.During its opening, Mikey's will offer happy-hour deals, date-night specials and its legendary Dysfunctional Family Deal: one whole pie, stix, four beers and four shots for $60. The first 100 customers at the 4 p.m. opening Aug. 28 will win T-shirts and free-slice cards.
For its first week, the new Mikey's will be open fewer hours: 4 p.m. to 1
a.m. Aug. 28, 2 p.m. to 1 a.m. Aug. 29. 2 to 10 p.m. Aug. 30 and Sept. 3, 2 p.m. to 1 a.m. Sept. 4, and 2 to 10 p.m. Sept. 6.
Mikey Sorboro opened the business in 2009 and now has shops in Columbus, Cincinnati and Dayton.
