A Columbus police officer fired a gun and two women were injured in a shooting on the city's North Side, according to news reports.
Officers arrived at the shooting scene just after 10:30 p.m. Aug. 17 near Gibbard Avenue and North Washington Avenue, Dispatch news partner NBC4/WCMH-TV reported. The officers were following up on a previously reported incident.
One officer fired his gun and two women were hospitalized, NBC4 reported. Neither of the women were shot by police.
One woman was hospitalized in stable condition, and one was in serious condition, the TV station reported.
No other injuries were reported in the shooting, and police are still searching for a suspect.
