Columbus police are investigating after a 911 call from a child led to the discovery of two people deceased inside of a home on the city's Southeast Side.
Police responded just before 4:50 p.m. Sept. 14 to a home in the 2800 block of Bannon Court, located south of Tussing Road and east of Gender Road, according to Sgt. Joe Albert. A young child called and said there was a dead person inside the home and also mentioned a suicide attempt, he said.
On arrival, officers found a man and a woman inside who appeared to be deceased. Medics arrived and pronounced both of them dead at the scene just after 5 p.m., Albert said.
Homicide detectives believe that the man and woman had a "domestic partnership." Officers located the child at the home, and they
are now in the custody of family, Albert said.
Police have not disclosed the relationship between the child and the man and woman who were found dead. They also have not released whether there were any visual signs of how the man or woman died. There is no previous history of police runs to the home.
Albert said police are not looking for any suspects, and do not believe there is a threat to the community.
