Election season can be a “ruff” time when many candidates have a bone to pick. But in Grandview Heights, the candidates are more likely to chew the bone.
The Wag, central Ohio’s first bar for humans and
dogs, and the City of Grandview Heights are hosting a race to elect Grandview’s first-ever canine mayor. Dog-owning residents are invited to nominate their pups through Sept. 16.
In addition to sending photos, owners will be required to explain why their dog deserves to be Head Pup in Charge.
Nominations must be submitted by the owner, who must be 18 or older and live in Grandview Heights. The photo file should include the name of the dog.
Five furry finalists will be selected by a committee to advance to a public vote from Sept. 23-Oct. 7. The winner will be announced and sworn in on Oct. 9 at The Wag, 1330 Norton Ave.
