Five people, including three children, were injured in a hit-and-run crash Sept. 10, Columbus police said.
At about 6:30 p.m., a black Dodge Charger with tinted windows and a GMC Acadia were driving west on East 5th Avenue near Sterling Avenue, according to a police news release. The Dodge, which was in the right lane, struck the right side of the GMC, which was in the left lane.
The driver of the GMC, an adult, lost control of the vehicle and hit a telephone pole. Police said the Dodge left the site of the crash.
Medics transported two adults and three children to local hospitals in stable condition. One of the children was seriously injured, according to the news release.
The Columbus police Accident Investigation Unit is investigating the crash.
