Erica Crawley is making breaking rules great
Re "Commissioner Erica Crawley blasts inspector general over concert police complaint," Oct. 6: I am very happy to learn that our elected officials in Franklin County apparently get to play by their own set of rules. A while back, Easton started charging for parking. I rebelled.
I didn't like it, but I figured the rules are the rules.
Too bad I didn't realize there might be another option: become a Franklin County commissioner. Apparently, then I could park where I wanted and perhaps not have to worry quite so much about those pesky parking tickets.
Maybe Franklin County could create a new position: honorary county commissioner. I'd volunteer.
Think of the possibilities.
Free parking at Easton. Maybe the Short North. Perhaps anywhere else I can find an open space or if I attended an event paid for with government funds.
Of course, there is one small problem with my plan. I always thought elected officials were supposed to follow the same rules as the people who elected them.
Silly me.

Our Great American Idiocracy
Let’s keep voting for those who swore fidelity to our Great Leader.
Runaway inflation, disease outbreaks that were all but eradicated, government police forces who murder American citizens for speaking their opinions, hate thrown at peoples who differ from the “norm,” converting abandoned property into jails for thousands of hard-working immigrants, lavish ballrooms and statues paid for with your money, all while our Leader enriches himself.
I like it! The Great American Idiocracy.
Voting has started.
