The Dispatch's higher education reporter Sheridan Hendrix will moderate a conversation with Ohio State University President Ravi Bellamkonda at the Columbus Metropolitan Club's Oct. 21 live forum, hosted at the National Veterans Memorial.
As Ohio State’s 18th president, Bellamkonda is helping shape what comes next at the state's flagship university. The forum begins at noon.
Between his background as a bioengineer and neuroscientist, his experience teaching and leading at both private and public universities, and having come into the role at Ohio State as a sitting provost, university leaders have praised Bellamkonda as the right man for the job.
Higher education is being reshaped by artificial intelligence, changing workforce needs and affordability
issues. Ohio State itself has also undergone a period of transition and introspection following the unexpected resignation of its previous president.
