Heavy rain from Aug. 11 storms forced the Westerville Public Library to close after flooding inside the building.
In an afternoon Instagram post the library, 126 S. State St., shared video showing water cascading from the ceiling into the atrium, describing it as an "unexpected temporary waterfall feature."
"Today's rain brought an unexpected temporary waterfall feature to the library's atrium," the post said.
Library officials said the facility would remain closed for the rest of the day while crews cleaned up the water and assessed the damage.
"We're closed for the rest of the day to clean up and assess damage, and hope to be back open tomorrow," the library said.
It was not immediately
clear whether any books, equipment or other parts of the building were damaged.
The closure comes as rounds of heavy rain and strong thunderstorms moved through central Ohio, prompting flooding and power concerns in some communities.
