A lot can happen in four years. A scrawny freshman can transform into a strapping senior. Two guys from central Ohio can become music stars and not be Twenty One Pilots.
Caamp, formed by Upper Arlington natives Taylor Meier and Evan Westfall, was already on an upward trajectory when they last played here in 2022. Since that show at Nationwide Arena, their star has continued to rise.
This year alone, the Americana-folk band debuted in NPR's Tiny Desk Concert series, topped Billboard's Adult Alternative Airplay chart twice and toured with Zach Bryan and Mumford & Sons. And that’s just a partial list.
Caamp is also headlining a tour that will stop at the Schottenstein
Center on Aug. 29. Arcy Drive and the Sam Fribush Organ Trio will open.

A portion of proceeds from ticket sales will benefit the Great Heights Movement, which supports charitable organizations, many of them in the Columbus area.
Caamp created the fund to assist programs focused on arts and music education, social justice and sustainability.
You don’t have to be an expert on Caamp's music to recognize their sound. If you've watched the Apple TV+ golf series "Stick," you've heard them on the theme song, "And It's Gone."
Plus, their single "All the Debts I Owe" was featured in the 2025 debut episode of the HBO crime drama "Task."
Caamp, which includes bassist Matt Vinson, keyboard player Joseph Kavalec and drummer Nicholas (Nick) Falk, released their fifth studio album, “Copper Changes Color,” in 2025.
In April, the band marked the 10th anniversary of their eponymous debut album with a two-disc remaster that features the original songs, three unreleased demos and four live tracks.
Caamp is set to return to Ocean City, Maryland, in September for the star-studded Oceans Calling Festival, headlined by that other pair of famous central Ohioans.
