Investigators believe a Delaware County woman who died in an Aug. 14 shooting was killed by the boyfriend of her daughter and his roommate, according to court records.
A man called 911 from his home on Bean Oller Road just after midnight Aug. 14 and said someone had shot his wife, 55-year-old Tamela D. Dutcher, the Delaware County Sheriff's Office said previously.
Dajameous Payne, 21, and Christian Evans, 20, are charged with murder in Dutcher's death.
A sheriff's office detective wrote in a criminal complaint that the two men entered her home, fatally shot her, and also fired on her husband as he attempted to help her. The men then fled the home, according to the complaint.
Dutcher's 18-year-old daughter, Bryanna, has been charged with obstruction
of justice. A criminal complaint in her case identifies Evans as her boyfriend and Payne as his roommate.
The daughter repeatedly lied to investigators about the circumstances around the shooting, according to the complaint.
The records do not describe a motive in the killing, and the sheriff's office has not released one.
The three defendants will have their first court appearance at 1 p.m. Aug. 17.
