The Ohio high school girls golf regular season has concluded, and as the first sport to start and finish each fall, some state tournament qualifiers already have been decided.
That means it is time to determine
the top Columbus-area player for the regular season by voting for your choice.
The 10 candidates are below, in alphabetical order. After reading their bios, scroll down to the ballot and cast your vote.
Voting will conclude at noon Oct. 5. Please do not email your votes; they will not count.
Candidates were nominated by area coaches. Postseason accomplishments are not included.
In addition, keep an eye out for the annual All-Metro teams for fall sports in November.
Amelia Buettner, Olentangy Orange: The sophomore averaged 68.5, repeating as OCC-Central Player of the Year and winning two-thirds of the regular-season events in which she played. That includes a 61 during Dublin Coffman’s Lady Rocks Invitational on Aug. 25 at the Golf Club of Dublin.
Keegan Dyer, Olentangy Berlin: The junior hovered near or slightly above par for most of the season, averaging 37.9 per nine holes and carding a 68 during the first round of the OCC-Cardinal tournament Aug. 5 at Raymond Memorial. Dyer averaged 73.33 in the league tournament.
Eva Emerson, Upper Arlington: One of two standout sophomores for the Golden Bears, Emerson averaged 76.1 with a season-best 71 in the Olentangy Invitational on Sept. 10 at Oakhaven. She has seven top-five finishes and 13 top-10 efforts.
Sydney Hawes, Westerville South: The sophomore either won or tied for first in 13 of the Wildcats’ 17 regular-season events, won OCC-Capital Player of the Year (75.6) and averaged 38.7 per nine holes. Her best 18-hole round was a 73 in the Thomas Worthington Invitational at Timberview.
Eva Lim, Columbus Academy: A senior and the two-time defending Division II individual state champion, Lim averaged 35.4 per nine holes. She shot 69 twice in winning the Worthington Invitational on Sept. 5 at Worthington Hills and the Olentangy Orange Invitational on Sept. 17 at Links at Echo Springs.
Macey Martin, Upper Arlington: The sophomore averaged 80.8 with a season-best round of 70 – which, like for Emerson, came in the Olentangy Invitational. She had two top-five finishes, including fourth place at Oakhaven, and earned four top-10 placements.
Maura Nye, Watterson: A senior, Nye averaged 75 with three career-best rounds of 71, most recently during the Olentangy Liberty Invitational on Sept. 21 at Oakhaven as well as in the Worthington Invitational as one of 15 girls participating.
Adella Pawlowski, Dublin Jerome: A junior and the No. 2 golfer for the defending Division I champion Celtics, Pawlowski averaged 73.1 with 19 rounds of 75 or better, including a season-best 66 in the Circle K Invitational on Aug. 6 at EagleSticks. Pawlowski has five wins this fall.
Naomi Stahr, Logan Elm: The sophomore, a 2025 Division II state qualifier, averaged 84.4 in the MSL-Buckeye tournament and shared top honors for the team throughout the regular season with junior Lily Slusher.
Nikitha Suresh, Dublin Jerome: The junior is averaging 69.3 – an all-time record for the program entering the postseason – with six event wins, six runner-up finishes and two rounds of 65. Suresh earned OCC-Cardinal Player of the Year with a 69.7 average, 1.6 shots ahead of Pawlowski.
