Walmart's Reynoldsburg store will soon reopen with a reimagined, modern layout.
The global retail corporation is remodeling hundreds of its locations across the United States, including 18 planned for Ohio this year. The Reynoldsburg Walmart Supercenter, located at 2793 Taylor Road Ext, is on that list and will host a grand re-opening Sept. 4 at 9 a.m.
The reimagined Reynoldsburg store reflects Walmart's "Store of the Future" concept, according to a company press release. That includes a modernized layout, faster and more convenient shopping options, enhanced digital tools and an expanded assortment of products.
"The re-grand opening highlights Walmart’s commitment to delivering a modern, efficient and intuitive shopping experience, meeting customers
where they are, whether shopping in-store or online," the release states.
Some of the specific changes coming to Reynoldsburg include expanded aisles and interactive displays that help customers visualize products in their homes; delivery in as little as one hour; and a store app experience that allows customers to navigate aisles, access store services and book oil changes at the Auto Care Center.
The store will also feature a greater assortment of healthy foods and brands like De'Longhi, Oura, Jessica Simpson and Lemme. The Reynoldsburg location will also have a Vision Center designed for greater privacy that offers brands like Nike, Calvin Klein and DKNY, plus services like free cleanings and adjustments.
Walmart is also donating $8,500 to four local organizations – $3,000 to Constant Love Celebration, $2,500 to Reynoldsburg Football Parent Association, $1,500 to Urban Aviators Society and $1,500 to Beyond the Game – as part of the re-opening.
