Walmart on Georgesville Road in southwest Columbus was evacuated Aug. 22 as a precaution after a bomb threat, according to the Columbus Division of Fire.
At 2 p.m., the Division of Fire said its bomb unit swept the scene and did not find anything.
According to a Columbus police dispatcher, first responders were dispatched to the scene at 11:12 a.m. and arrived minutes later.
A spokesperson for the fire department first told Dispatch news partner NBC4/WCMH-TV at 12:42 p.m. that its bomb unit was searching the building, 1221 Georgesville Road, and called the threat “low credibility.”
