The Crew will host CF Pachuca on Aug. 7 at ScottsMiracle-Gro Field (7:30 p.m.) in their second of three group-stage games against Liga MX teams in the 2026 Leagues Cup.
After downing Atlas FC on Aug. 4 by a 3-1 score to open Leagues Cup play with a +2 goal differential, the Crew now get a chance to exact revenge on Pachuca, the club that blanked them 3-0 at 8,000 feet above sea level in the 2024 Concacaf Champions Cup final in Pachuca, Mexico.
Pachuca advanced to the 2025 FIFA Club World Cup and garnered millions of dollars from it, while the Crew returned with sour dispositions after a team meal at their hotel in Pachuca led to numerous cases of what their team physician
diagnosed as food poisoning.
Most of the 2024 Crew roster is gone now, including head coach Wilfried Nancy, but nine players remain and they haven't forgotten what happened in Mexico. It sets the stage for an exciting rematch between the clubs in Leagues Cup play.
