"Gilmore Girls" fans in central Ohio and beyond can go to a local historic downtown for an interactive experience simulating Stars Hollow, the fictional Connecticut town that’s at the core of the show.
A downtown organization in Delaware is planning on transforming the historic area for a weekend into the fictional town of “Starz Hollow” as inspired by the series, which aired from 2000-2007.
Dozens of businesses in downtown Delaware are participating in the event, which is expected to bring up to 15,000 visitors to downtown Delaware Nov. 13-14.
“Just like the fictional Stars Hollow, downtown Delaware is filled with unique businesses, familiar faces, and a community that knows how to come together for something special,” said a press release from
Late Night Delaware, the nonprofit organization promoting the event.
The weekend will include trivia, fan experiences and a live concert with two cast members from the show: Todd Lowe and John Cabrera, who portrayed Zack Van Gerbig and Brian Fuller, respectively, of Lane Kim's fictional band, Hep Alien.
A concert with Lowe and Cabrera at 7 p.m. Nov. 14 at Gray Chapel on Ohio Wesleyan University’s campus will cap off the schedule of events.
The first edition of the event in 2025 in one day brought 7,000 people to town. Organizers are making this now into a two-day experience and are expecting 10,000-15,000 people to come.
Local businesses will be transformed into celebrated spots on the show, such as Luke's Diner, Doose's Market, Miss Patty's Dance Studio, Kim's Antiques and Dragonfly Inn.
Organizers noted in a press release that this is an independently organized event not affiliated with Warner Brothers and the creators of "Gilmore Girls."
