One of the most-anticipated games of the 2026 season comes Week 2, when No. 1 Ohio State travels to No. 3 Texas in a rematch of the Buckeyes' low-scoring win from Week 1 in 2025.

Both starting quarterbacks Julian Sayin and Arch Manning were efficient in their Week 1 games against Ball State and Texas State, respectively, with Sayin passing for 320 yards with four total touchdowns. Manning threw for 305 yards and four touchdowns to one interception.

Ohio State defeated Texas 14-7 last season, as both offenses struggled under first-time starting quarterbacks. Both Sayin and Manning took huge steps after the matchup, though, with Sayin even
developing into a Heisman Trophy finalist.
The Buckeyes could have their hands full with a new-look Longhorns offense that added former Auburn receiver Cam Coleman and a pair of new running backs in Hollywood Smothers and Raleek Brown, who both transferred from North Carolina State and Arizona State, respectively.
