The crazies are running the house
The current message from the GOP is that we need to prevent the “radicals” from taking away our country. From my perspective, it’s too late: “The Radicals” have already taken over. JD Vance tells his audience that we can disagree on policies but that policy should not be dictated by crazy people.
For those who don’t understand what irony means, here is a good place to start. Since Jan. 21, 2025, when over 1,500 rioters were pardoned for their attempt to overturn election results, the crazy people have been running the USA into the scorched Earth while telling us that we are experiencing the greatest era of American history.
Measles have come back from extinction
in the U.S., the cost of living continues to rise, we are still in a war we supposedly won in the first week, checks for DOGE and tariff refunds were promised yet never delivered, and now we are supposed to believe all adults will get $5,000 if Republicans hold onto control of both House and Senate.
I predict these next two years will be devoted to overturning presidential term limits, and the USA will become the Christian equivalent of Iran. We could do something about it, but we continue to let AI do our thinking for us. There is no room for organic, actual intelligence in a world run by a government financially invested in Artificial (unreal, fake) Intelligence. Welcome to your Golden Age.

Husted living in the 1930s
I received a flyer from Jon Husted saying he will protect us from socialism.
We don't need to go back to the 1930s and read the arguments made that government help to those suffering from the Depression was the path to socialism.
Instead, we can look at what exists today to benefit people and not profit: public schools and universities, highways, public utilities, public libraries, Social Security, Medicare, Medicaid, food assistance, child labor laws and environmental control. I could list more, but the point is that there are plenty of examples of programs in the federal government that benefit people before profit.
Husted, I do not want to be protected from any of these programs, and I think most of the people in Columbus would agree. It would be a good idea if you stopped thinking voters are uninformed about economic systems. We are not living in the 1930s, and we recognize when candidates are using buzzwords to scare voters.

Ramaswamy is a wannabe con man
Re "Ohio doctors group backs Ramaswamy over Acton," Sep. 17: As a lifelong Ohio resident and 40-year practicing physician in Ohio, I was flabbergasted by seeing the Ohio State Medical Association's endorsement of Ramaswamy for governor. It was noted his wife is a surgeon "who will correct the injustice that physicians have suffered at the hands of insurance companies." In other words, I'll scratch your back if you'll scratch mine!
Amy Acton is clearly the better choice to lead Ohio.
Her leadership during the pandemic was outstanding and prevented many deaths. How soon we forget how desperate the times were during the pandemic, when refrigerated trucks had to be rented to hold all of the dead bodies. Nor was Ohio alone in the isolation measures taken to prevent the spread of COVID-19.
Ramaswamy is a con man much like the orange leader he idolizes and will do nothing for the average Ohioan if elected.
