The Ohio State football quarterback room is under a microscope as the Buckeyes attempt to clinch the College Football Playoff with four games remaining and injured signal caller Julian Sayin likely unavailable for all four.
Sayin, who was hurt during the Buckeyes' 19-15 win over Indiana, is out indefinitely without a specific timetable to return, according to OSU coach Ryan Day. Ohio State is left with a variety of options at quarterback, starting with true freshman Luke Fahey, who replaced Sayin for the final three drives against the Hoosiers.
The blow to the depth chart is significant, but Ohio State has a history of succeeding with backup QBs. During the 2014-15 season, quarterback Cardale Jones, originally the third-string option, led Urban
Meyer's Buckeyes to a national championship.
