A portion of West Lane Avenue in Upper Arlington is closed, and buildings in the area are being evacuated due to a gas leak, the city said in a Facebook post.
West Lane Avenue is closed at North Star Road, the city said, after a contractor who was working in the area on Oct. 12 struck a gas line. Columbia Gas of Ohio is currently on scene working to locate and contain the leak, the city said.
Buildings near the intersection are being evacuated, and the city is asking the public to avoid the area.
Additional information, including what time the gas leak was reported and how long North Star Road would be closed, was not immediately available. A spokesperson for the city could not be reached to provide additional information.
