The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center high school Athlete of the Week voting occurs each week during high school sports competition and recognizes athletes across all sports.

Athletes are on this week's ballot based on information made available to The Dispatch and nominations.
Once athletes win during the regular season, they're not eligible to be back on the ballot until the postseason. If athletes haven't won in the regular season, they can be nominated more than once.
The Dispatch staff reserves the right to remove ballots or athletes from the ballot where voting irregularities have occurred.

Here are this week's Girls Athlete of the Week candidates:
Brooke Baker, New Albany golf: Won two events on consecutive days, Pickerington North's Lady Panther Invitational at The Links at Groveport (74, tie for first) and the first round of the OCC-Ohio tournament at Blacklick Woods (72).
Sloane Bunker, Upper Arlington field hockey: Scored two goals in their opening game and anchored the defense in a 9-0 win over Ottawa Hills. She then scored two goals in a 3-2 win over Hudson, including the walk off game winner in overtime.
Chloe Cramblitt, Lakewood volleyball: Recorded 17 digs, surpassing 500 for her career, in a win over Danville.
Shelby Damron, Big Walnut volleyball: Earned Player of the Match in the season opener and was a top all-around contributor in wins over Marysville and DeSales. In the two wins, she had 20 kills, 19 receptions, 16 digs, six blocks and two aces. She is ranked by Prep Dig as the No. 10 outside hitter and one of the top 30 overall players in Ohio.
Maddy Fry, Dublin Coffman field hockey: Scored three goals in two games, including two against Hilliard and one against Bexley.
Sydney Hawes, Westerville South golf: Won the second round of the OCC-Capital tournament at The Links of Echo Springs with a 76.
Carmen Kimmel, Upper Arlington tennis: Started her season with two victories, winning three out of four sets 6-0. She defeated Canfield's Anika Adulia 6-0, 6-0 and Cincinnati Oak Hills' Reilly Murphy 6-0, 6-1.
Nikitha Suresh, Dublin Jerome golf: Shot a 65 to win the Brunswick Coaster Classic. It was her second victory of the season after a 67 in the first round of the OCC-Cardinal tournament at Raymond Memorial, and her third round in the 60s.
Sydney Walburn, Olentangy volleyball: Had 24 kills and 13 digs in a win over Teays Valley, 29 kills, 15 digs and two aces in a win over Anderson.
