Former U.S. Vice President Mike Pence will visit central Ohio in November as a featured speaker at the New Albany Community Foundation's annual fundraiser.
Pence will take the podium at the 2026 Remarkable Evening benefit, "America at 250: Reflections on Leadership and Democracy," set for Nov. 10 in New Albany. Due to security protocol, the event location will not be disclosed until tickets are purchased.
The 48th vice president of the U.S., Pence served under President Donald Trump from January 2017 to January 2021. Prior to taking office, his career included practicing law, hosting a talk show and serving six terms as an Indiana congressman before becoming the state's governor.
Historians and authors Walter Isaacson and Jon Meacham will also
speak at the benefit, which is a special-edition celebration of the nation’s semiquincentennial.
Now in its 24th year, Remarkable Evening has raised almost $40 million for the New Albany Community Foundation’s grantmaking, community projects and programming in four areas of impact: lifelong learning, arts and culture, health and wellness, and a sustainable environment.
The benefit's speakers have included former presidents George W. Bush and Bill Clinton, as well as Gen. Colin Powell, former Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice and actors Kevin Bacon and Kyra Sedgwick, who drew about 700 attendees to the 2025 event.
