The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center high school Athlete of the Week voting occurs each week during high school sports competition and recognizes athletes across all sports.

Athletes are on this week's ballot based on information made available to The Dispatch and nominations.
Once athletes win during the regular season, they're not eligible to be back on the ballot until the postseason. If athletes haven't won in the regular season, they can be nominated more than once.
The Dispatch staff reserves the right to remove ballots or athletes from the ballot where voting irregularities have occurred.

Here are this week's Boys Athlete of the Week candidates:
Mason Ackermann, New Albany football: Returned an interception 41 yards for a touchdown, scored on a 2-yard run and made a key tackle for a late fourth-down stop in a 28-21 win over Upper Arlington.
Del’navon Bailey, West football: Threw for 194 yards and three touchdowns and rushed for 57 yards and two scores on six carries in a 44-0 win over Eastmoor Academy.
Dash Hoy, Watterson football: Threw for 163 yards and three touchdowns in a 35-13 win over Cleveland Glenville 35-13.
Blaike Jackson, Grove City football: Scored three touchdowns in a 49-14 over Thomas Worthington.
Tristyn Jones, Heath football: Rushed for 264 yards and three touchdowns in a 58-28 win over Washington Court House.
Carson Kiger, Berne Union football: Rushed for 78 yards and two touchdowns and completed 15 of 24 passes for 217 yards and three touchdowns in a 41-8 win over Miller.
Charlie Pizzotti, Columbus Academy football: Had two interceptions, one of which he returned 49 yards for a touchdown, and caught an 11-yard score in a 36-14 win over Granville. Pizzotti caught six passes for 58 yards.
Shawn Rice, Worthington Kilbourne football: Caught seven passes for 158 yards and four touchdowns in a 49-20 win at Westland. Rice has nine receiving touchdowns in the past two games.
Ryan Sager, Johnstown football: Ran for three touchdowns and two two-point conversions in a 37-30 win over Mount Vernon. He finished with 162 yards on 42 carries.
Evan Switalski, West Jefferson football: Accounted for five of the Roughriders’ six touchdowns in a 44-6 win over Cedarville, throwing for 243 yards and three scores and running for 75 yards and two touchdowns.
Bryston Toronto, London football: Rushed for 201 yards and two touchdowns on 26 carries in 29-7 win over Lewistown Indian Lake.
Cyren Wallace, Danville football: Rushed for 116 yards and two touchdowns on 11 carries, made 10 solo tackles and assisted on seven more and returned three punts for 81 yards in a 52-7 win over Fredericktown.
