Aug. 10 storms in central Ohio have left 11,500 people without power in Licking County and an additional 2,400 without power in Franklin County, according to the AEP Ohio outages map.
The National Weather Service issued a severe thunderstorm warningfor northeastern Franklin County, southeastern Delaware County and northwestern Licking County at 10:43 a.m., but the warning expired at 11:15 a.m. There are currently no active severe weather warnings in central Ohio.
Major storms are expected to continue until about 2 p.m., but additional storms may occur throughout the rest of the day. Damaging wind gusts and flash flooding are possible.
The rain will likely stick around all this
week, according to the forecast.
