The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center high school Athlete of the Week voting occurs each week during high school sports competition and recognizes athletes across all sports.

Athletes are on this week's ballot based on information made available to The Dispatch and nominations.
Once athletes win during the regular season, they're not eligible to be back on the ballot until the postseason. If athletes haven't won in the regular season, they can be nominated more than once.
The Dispatch staff reserves the right to remove ballots or athletes from the ballot where voting irregularities have occurred.

Here are this week's Boys Athlete of the Week candidates:
Christian Amann, Jonathan Alder football: Ran for 220 yards and three touchdowns on 14 carries in a 36-12 win over Columbus Academy.
Ryder Anderson, Grove City football: Dominated the line of scrimmage and helped lead the team to a 48-47 win over Westland.
Nolan Buirley, Big Walnut football: Ran for 248 yards and four touchdowns in a 39-7 win over Dublin Coffman.
Braylen Burnette, Pickerington Central football: Had three interceptions in a 28-0 loss to Watterson.
RJ Day, DeSales football: Threw for 246 yards and three touchdowns and ran for a score in a 41-6 win over Walnut Ridge. Day surpassed 6,000 career passing yards in the win.
Jason Giblin, Newark football: Returned two interceptions for touchdowns (35 and 83 yards) and turned his two catches into touchdowns of 65 and 28 yards in a 34-14 win at Mount Vernon.
Ayden Hartley, Logan Elm football: Returned kickoffs 96 and 83 yards for touchdowns and added 96 rushing yards on four carries in a 54-20 win over Westfall.
Brandon Heater, Benjamin Logan football: Kicked a 56-yard field goal in a 41-13 win over West Liberty-Salem. The kick broke his previous school record of 50 yards.
Blaike Jackson, Grove City football: Rushed for 97 yards and three touchdowns, one in the last 9 seconds of the game, in a 48-47 over Westland.
Jace Johnson, Newark Catholic football: Returned an interception 86 yards for a touchdown, caught eight passes for 78 yards and made six solo tackles and seven assisted stops in a 16-14 win over West Jefferson.
Kaden Jones, Watterson football: Made a team-high 14 tackles (12 assisted) and added a 1-yard rushing touchdown in a 28-0 win over Pickerington Central.
Coby Smith, Grove City football: Completed 19 of 30 passes for 262 yards and ran for 129 yards on 15 carries, and he returned from an injury suffered late in the third quarter to guide the Dawgs’ fourth-quarter comeback from 20 points down in a 48-47 win at Westland.
Jackson Szabo, Worthington Kilbourne football: Completed 12 of 19 passes for 229 yards and two touchdowns and rushed for 70 yards and three touchdowns on eight carries in a 52-20 win over Thomas Worthington.
Zayne Yokum, Grove City football: Hade six tackles and two sacks (for 24 yards) in a 48-47 win over Westland.
