Outerbelt Brewing, a Fairfield County craft brewery and taproom started by two brothers in 2019, has told customers it plans to close in early October.
Along with a video of the Semisonic anthem "Closing Time," owners of the spot 25 miles southeast of Columbus said via Facebook that their last day in business will be Oct. 5
. It will be open normal hours, Wednesdays through Sundays, until then, they said.Outerbelt operates its brewery and taproom at 3560 Dolson Court in Carroll, a tiny village on U.S. 33 between Canal Winchester and Lancaster. It produced a range of craft beers, "from lagers to IPAs and everything in between," as well as ciders and seltzers.
"Thank you for
your support, your laughter and your friendship," owners said in their Sept. 17 announcement. "We'll miss you more than words can say."
