One person was killed Sept. 21 in a shooting on Columbus' West Side.
The shooting was reported at around 7:30 p.m. in the 200 block of North Wheatland Avenue, just north of East Broad Street, according to a Columbus police dispatcher.
The victim, who has not yet been named, was transported to OhioHealth Grant Medical Center
in critical condition, where the victim was pronounced dead at 8 p.m., the dispatcher said.At least one person was detained at the scene for questioning, according to police. Additional information, including what led up to the shooting, was not immediately available.
The shooting marks Columbus' 58th homicide of the year, according to Columbus police homicide data.
