On Sept. 11, 2026, Timothy Miller, 65, pleaded guilty to rape. He had a prior 1992 conviction for a different sexual assault.
Franklin County Common Pleas Judge Stephen McIntosh sentenced Miller to 17-22 years in prison and to register as a Tier I sexual offender.

Columbus man paroled after 1992 child rape conviction now accused of possessing child porn
A Columbus man who spent about 26 years in prison for a 1992 child rape conviction in Franklin County has now been charged with possessing child sex abuse material, Columbus police said in a news release.
Timothy V. Miller, 64, faces one count of pandering obscenities of a minor. He may face additional charges in connection with the case, police said.
Columbus police said that the Franklin County Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force received
a tip reporting Miller's online activity. Officers searched Miller's home July 18 in the Driving Park neighborhood, where they allege in a criminal complaint that they found child sexual assault images and videos on his desktop computer, including naked prepubescent girls.
As of July 19, Miller remained at the Franklin County jail on a $50,085 cash bond, according to Franklin County court records. He may face additional charges in connection with the case, police said. His next court hearing is scheduled for July 28.
In October 1992, Miller pleaded guilty to four counts of rape involving children and one count of gross sexual imposition. He was sentenced to 15-50 years in prison and was paroled in 2018, according to court records.
