Checkers & Rally's and Afroman are partnering in a new take on Rally's Famous Seasoned Fries.
Starting Sept. 21, participating locations throughout Ohio and Grand Rapids, Michigan, will team up with the Grammy-nominated rapper for a $2.49 Afroman Stix & Fries Box. The box features the seasoned fries, Monsterella Stix and a choice of Stingin' Honey Garlic, Creamy Garlic Parmesan or Smokin' Chipotle Mayo.
The rapper, an Ohio resident, also released "Because I Got Fries," a spoof of his hit song "Because I Got High."
“Afroman has an unmistakable personality and a deep connection to Ohio, which made him a natural partner for Checkers & Rally’s as we celebrate our 40th anniversary,” Checkers & Rally's Senior Director of Marketing Russ Romeo said in a news
release.
“This collaboration brings together music, humor and the bold flavor our guests already love in a way that feels authentic to both brands. From the Afroman Stix and Fries Box to ‘Because I Got Fries’ and the famous Fry Love Express joining him on tour, we’re giving fans plenty of ways to enjoy our famous seasoned fries.”
During Afroman's tour, the fast-food chain's mobile fry kitchen, Checkers & Rally’s Fry Love Express, will serve free fries at the Oct. 2 show in Paw Paw, Michigan, and Oct. 10 in Lorain, Ohio.
"Ohio is home, so teaming up with Checkers & Rally’s to put my own spin was a natural fit,” Afroman said in the news release.
