While all ice hockey venues are cold, Ohio State women's hockey will face its rival Wisconsin in an iconic outdoor sports venue known for its chilling temperatures.
The Buckeyes announced Sept. 2 that they will face the Badgers at Lambeau Field, home of the Green Bay Packers, in the Travel Wisconsin Frozen Tundra Faceoff in Green Bay, Wisconsin, on Feb. 20, 2027. The event will also feature a men's hockey matchup between Wisconsin and Michigan, with a game ticket granting access to both matchups.
Ohio State and Wisconsin women's hockey have faced each other 17 times in the past three years, trading places as the top two programs in the country. The teams played against each other outdoors in 2025 at Wrigley Field, with Ohio State winning in a seven-round
shootout. Wisconsin has won the past two national championship games over Ohio State, while the Buckeyes took down Wisconsin in the 2024 finale.
