A Jimmy Buffett documentary complete with rare archival footage is showing at the Mariemont Theatre for a limited time.
"Occupational Hazard: The First Coral Reefers" tells the origin story of Buffett and the Coral Reefer Band, the band that backed the tropical rocker until he died in 2023.
The feature documentary "journeys back to the 1970s and early 1980s in Key West − exploring the musicians, friendships, touring years, and studio sessions that helped shape Buffett’s legendary sound," a release from Mariemont Theatre reads.
"Occupational Hazard" is an award-winning, festival favorite, according to the release.
The film premieres at the Mariemont Theatre on Friday, Sept. 11, at 7 p.m. A Q&A with the director and co-producers will follow the showing.
"Occupational Hazard: The First Coral Reefers" features The Coral Reefer Band, country singer Kenny Chesney and songwriters Mac McAnally and Keith Sykes, who co-wrote songs with Buffett.
Academy Award-winner and "The Big Lebowski" star Jeff Bridges narrates the film.
The film will screen at the Mariemont Theatre from Sept. 11-17, excluding the 16th. Fans can purchase tickets here.
