Houston Texans defensive end Jadeveon Clowney has missed consecutive practices because of a knee injury, according to the team's injury report ahead of a Week 2 game against the Cincinnati Bengals.
Clowney had one sack and two quarterback pressures during the Texans' Week 1 loss to Buffalo.
The Texans signed Clowney as a free agent in August, days after he visited the Cleveland Browns.
Texans star receiver Nico Collins also missed practice, because of a hamstring injury.
Clowney played for the Baltimore Ravens in 2023 when his hit on Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow during a Week 11 ngame in Baltimore resulted in Burrow's season-ending wrist injury.
Clowney had 8.5 sacks for the Dallas Cowboys during the 2025 season.
Clowney was a three-time Pro Bowler
for the Texans from 2016-18. Since playing his first five NFL seasons in Houston, he has played the past seven seasons for the Seattle Seahawks, Tennessee Titans, Cleveland, Baltimore, the Carolina Panthers and Dallas.
Clowney has 67.5 career sacks during the regular season, in addition to 2.5 postseason sacks.
