Cincinnati Bengals defensive end Shemar Stewart recorded his first sack of the season late in the fourth quarter of the team's NFL Week 2 game against the Houston Texans at Reliant Stadium.
Stewart sacked Texans quarterback CJ Stroud as Houston tried to rally with 45 seconds left, for a seven-yard loss.
"The defense of the Bengals is a much different squad than what we saw last season," CBS analyst Trent Green said during the broadcast, as the game ended.
Stewart, who was making his 2026 season debut, hyperextended his knee in July on the first day of training camp. He was carted off the practice field.
Stewart, the Bengals' first-round pick in the 2025 NFL Draft, played in eight games during his rookie season for Cincinnati. He suffered a knee
injury in November 2025 and was placed on the Reserve/Injured list.
