Cincinnati Bengals receiver Tee Higgins is expected to be limited at practice Oct. 7 ahead of the team's NFL Week 5 game against the Miami Dolphins at Hard Rock Stadium, according to Bengals head coach Zac Taylor.
Two days earlier, Taylor said Higgins is "day to day" with an adductor injury he suffered during the fourth quarter of the team's NFL Week 4 loss to Jacksonville.
Higgins' status isn't known for the Sunday's game. The Bengals have a Week 6 bye.
Higgins got up slowly after a 19-yard catch near the sideline from quarterback Joe Burrow. Higgins got up, but then took a knee and required attention from team medical personnel.
Higgins returned to the game later in the drive, and made a catch on his first play back in the game. He was not on the field
for the Bengals' final drive of the game.
Higgins had a game-high 10 catches for 140 receiving yards before the injury. He added a 17-yard catch, giving him a total of 157 receiving yards, second only to the 194-yard game he had against Baltimore in 2021.
"You can tell he's not quite 100 percent," CBS analyst Robert Turbin said of Higgins during the broadcast.
Earlier in the game, teammate Ja'Marr Chase had his facemask grabbed by Jaguars defensive back Jarrian Jones. Chase went to the ground and took a big hit from linebacker Ventrell Miller.
Chase left to be evaluated for a concussion and did not return. Turbin said he couldn't believe Miller's hit on Chase didn't draw a flag.
