The Cincinnati Bengals announced they added five players to their practice squad, bringing their squad total to the 16-player limit.
Tight end Tanner Hudson, released Aug. 31 by the team, was among the practice squad additions.
Quarterback Josh Johnson, a star of the Bengals' preseason who was among players the team cut to finalize their 53-man roster, also was added to the practice squad.
The Bengals added former Los Angeles Chargers linebacker/defensive end Garmon Randolph to the practice squad. Randolph was reportedly headed to the Bengals after he was among players the Chargers cut Aug. 30 to finalize their 53-man roster.
The Bengals also announced the following two additions:
- CB Trikweze Bridges, a second-year player out of the University of Florida, originally was a seventh-round pick of Dallas in 2025. He played in 16 games with two starts for the Cowboys last season.
- OT Blake Freeland, a fourth-year player out of Brigham Young University, originally was a fourth-round pick of Indianapolis in 2023. He played in 25 games with nine starts for the Colts during the 2023-24 seasons and spent last season on the Reserve/Injured list due to a leg injury.
