A familiar face is leaving Cincinnati, but don't worry, you'll still see him on WKRC-TV (Local 12).
Duane Pohlman, an investigative reporter for the local station, announced he was leaving the Queen City in a July 24 Facebook post.
"This is the moment I said goodbye to a place we've called home for nearly a decade," Pohlman wrote. "Before you say it... I am NOT leaving Local 12. My wife and I are making a move for family."
The award-winning journalist detailed the move in a follow-up Facebook post July 25, stating unlike his past ones, this move is not about his career but rather for the love of his wife, Sharon Pohlman.
"Sharon's 'home' has always been Louisville. No matter where we've lived, on most weekends, you'd find Sharon on the highway,
traveling to care for her mom and spend precious time with our growing family. She continued doing this, despite her own (sometimes serious) health challenges. And that brings me to this move," he said.
Pohlman and his wife packed up their belongings and bought a home in Louisville, which is about 100 miles south of downtown Cincinnati.
Although he'll live in the Bluegrass State, he plans to continue working in Cincinnati.
"I'll be the one traveling up-and-down the highway to-and-from work. Why? Because life is short & time is precious. And I love my wife so much that I finally brought her back HOME," Pohlman wrote.
