The University of Cincinnati is approaching its final weekend of overnight closures surrounding campus after multiple shootings near campus that resulted in at least two deaths.
Calhoun and McMillan Streets will be closed between Vine Street and Clifton Avenue Friday, Sept. 11 from 11 p.m. to 4 a.m. and Saturday, Sept. 12, after the UC football game to 4 a.m., according to a Facebook post by the Cincinnati Police Department.
Residents with a valid parking permit will be allowed through the closure to access their parked vehicles, according to police. Employees working at businesses in the area as well as ride share and delivery drivers will also be allowed to park or pass through the closed area.

between Vine Street and Clifton Avenue started Sept. 4.
These temporary closures are part of the university and police department's increased security efforts following shootings and a stampede that left one UC student concussed with two broken fingers, and the deaths of 18-year-old Harry Nelson and 24-year-old Jonaethyn Edwards.
