The Ché restaurant in O'Bryonville is moving to make way for the opening of an Argentinian-style steakhouse in its current location. Ignite Entertainment, the hospitality group behind Ché, announced
the move in a press release on Aug. 20.
Ché, Ignite's Argentinian street food-focused restaurant, is currently located at 2038 Madison Road, but will move next door, to 3009 O'Bryon St., where Che originally opened in 2021.
Butcher & Barrel, Ignite's Argentine-style steakhouse, will then open its second location, in the Madison Road space, the release reads.
The move "represents a significant investment in O'Bryonville by owner Juan Imeroni," the release reads.
"This next chapter allows Ché and Butcher & Barrel to each become the very best version of themselves while continuing to serve the community that has supported us from the beginning," Imeroni said in the release.
What to expect from Ché O'Bryonville
Ché is an Argentinian restaurant known for its empanadas and tapas. The restaurant will open in the O'Bryon Street space in the first week of September. The space will be "reimagined" to reflect the restaurant's "approachable, neighborhood spirit," the release reads.
Ché's location in Over-the-Rhine will continue to operate. Both the O'Bryonville and OTR locations will feature an updated menu, expanded grab-and-go options, carryout and delivery, according to the release.
What to expect from Butcher & Barrel
Butcher & Barrel is scheduled to open in O'Bryonville later this fall. The steakhouse will build on its original location downtown, which opened in 2017.
The upscale steakhouse serves Latin American and Italian-inspired cuisine, including parillada, a South American festive meal that traditionally includes an assortment of meats cooked over an open flame or grill.
