Cincinnati Bengals kicker Evan McPherson was named AFC Special Teams Player of the Month for September.
McPherson converted each of his eight field-goal attempts and eight extra points over the Bengals' three games in September.
McPherson's 32 points scored tied for the most by any NFL kicker, while his FG total tied for the most by an AFC kicker.
McPherson also led all kickers in FGs made from 50 or more yards (five).
McPherson is in his sixth NFL season, all with the Bengals.
In 2025, McPherson broke his own record for longest field goal in team history with a 63-yarder to end the first half of the Week 12 loss to New England at Paycor Stadium.
McPherson's kick was one of 14 field goals in NFL history of at least 63 yards.
McPherson attempted a 67-yard
field goal at the end of the first half of the team's NFL Week 6 loss to the Green Bay Packers at Lambeau Field. He made the attempt, but it didn't count. The Packers called timeout, and the whistle blew to negate what would have been an NFL record.
McPherson played in 12 games during the 2024 season, missing time because of a groin injury.
