A Northern Kentucky city will remove all Flock Safety cameras, according to a news release. Two other Greater Cincinnati cities say they are ending their collaborations with the Flock Group.
In an Aug. 24 news release, Independence Mayor Chris Reinersman announced the city will begin the process of removing Flock cameras. Fort Mitchell and Oxford
have ended their Flock programs, according to Enquirer media partner Fox19.Reinersman said in the news release that he still believes the cameras can be a valuable law enforcement tool, but that elected officials must follow the will of the people they represent.
"We were elected to serve the residents of Independence, and when our community speaks
this clearly, we have an obligation to listen," Reinersman stated.
