League Baseball announced on Wednesday, July 29, it has flexed the Cincinnati Reds' Aug. 30 game against the Chicago Cubs at Wrigley Field. The game will now be played at 7 p.m. as part of NBC's "Sunday Night Baseball" package.
The Reds are currently 50-56 and five games back of the third National League Wild Card spot. They are 8-23 against their NL Central opponents and 1-6 against the Cubs. At 61-46, the Cubs currently own the first Wild Card spot.
Since entering the All-Star break at 43-52, Cincinnati has won three straight series, the first time they have done so this season.
