SI's Conor Orr ranks Cincinnati Bengals head coach Zac Taylor No. 5 among 12 NFL coaches on the hot seat, after the Bengals' 2-2 start to the season and loss to Jacksonville in Week 4.
Orr ranked the 12 coaches "from the hottest seat, to the least hot, of the coaches that we should consider in this sort of category."
"The Bengals exiting a loss to the Jaguars having almost completely reverted to the 2025 version of themselves officially took the polish off what was a promising Zac Taylor offseason," Orr wrote. "Whether Joe Burrow simply cannot play in a play-action-oriented offense or this is not the version of said offense that works for Burrow remains to be seen."
"The quarterback has to know that dropping back 54 times against an athletic, opportunistic
defense is a recipe for disaster," Orr continued. "Posting 17 total rushing yards from the team's running backs is inexcusable at a time when there are more tools at a play-caller's disposal to generate a steady ground game than ever."

Taylor shared updates Oct. 5 about the Bengals' top two receivers, saying Ja'Marr Chase (concussion) and Tee Higgins (adductor) are "day to day."
