As the Cincinnati Bengals ruled out receiver Ja'Marr Chase for the rest of their NFL Week 4 game against the Jacksonville Jaguars at Paycor Stadium, CBS analyst Robert Turbin explained that he couldn't believe the Jags weren't penalized for the hit that injured Chase.
The Jaguars' Jarrian Jones grabbed Chase's facemask, and was penalized. Linebacker Ventrell Miller delivered the hit when Chase was on the ground, and wasn't flagged.
"I'm still really shocked there was no foul called on that play leading with the crown of his helmet," Turbin said early in the third quarter of the broadcast.
Near the end of the first half, Turbin and play-by-play announcer Tom McCarthy said they were surprised Jones wasn't penalized for pass interference on a long
pass attempt from Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow to receiver Tee Higgins.
