Thefirst official weekend of fall is expected to bring dry weather and seasonably cool temperatures to Greater Cincinnati.
Clear skies and light winds Friday morning have led to areas of fog, especially along river valleys. Some patchy inland fog has also developed and may be dense in spots, according to the National Weather Service in Wilmington.
Drivers should expect rapid changes in visibility. The weather service advises motorists to leave extra distance between vehicles, use low-beam headlights and allow extra travel time.
The fog is expected to dissipate after daybreak. Otherwise, Friday is expected to be sunny, with a high near 71 degrees.
A drier air mass and seasonably cool temperatures will persist through the weekend and into early next
week. Rain chances, along with a slight warming trend, are expected to return by the middle of next week.
